Flows provide an avenue for you to create new records, update and add information. There are some common elements to flows, however some are more complex than others.
In this article we will walk you through a simple flow that has these common elements:
- Click on Flow Button
- Input search criteria to find the record you will link what you are creating to
- Click Next
- Search results appear.
At this point depending on the search results you have two options:
- Link to existing record that you found in the search.
- Create New Record as no existing records were found that matched.
Then you will given the opportunity to input the key information required to create the records and once created will be able to go directly to the new record.
NOTE: When you click Next it is saving your selections to the database eg. Once you input the new information for eg. Initiative and then click Next, the Initiative will have been created whether you click out of the flow or not.
